Reclaim Fee Schedule

To reclaim your pet, you will need:

PROOF OF CURRENT RABIES VACCINATIONS

In accordance to KRS 258.015 (1) & (3) and 258.215 (3) & (4), as well as Woodford Co. Ordinance 90.04, this may be in the form of their rabies tag or the certificate from the Veterinarian. If your pet is not current on rabies vaccinations, or vaccinations cannot be verified, you will need to purchase a vaccination voucher from us in the amount of $55.00. This is in addition to our fees. You will then have 10 days to have your pet vaccinated or additional fines incur.

Our general fees are as follows:

$22.00 impound fee PLUS
Daily boarding charge of $11.00/per day
Any puppy which appears to be 6 months of age or younger will be given a 5-in-1 Health Vaccination at a cost to you of $11.00

You are also responsible, at pick-up, for any related costs (ie: veterinary costs) not listed above. All fees include tax.

Any pet not reclaimed by their owner within 5 days of their impoundment will be considered relinquished by their owner and euthanized or turned over to a rescue facility, if deemed adoptable and if they have the space.

The owner is responsible for the fees incurred, even if they do not pick up their pet.

We are NOT an adoption facility.

Woodford Co. Animal Control is a law enforcement department, established in 2001, by Woodford County Fiscal Court, in accordance with the Kentucky Revised State Statutes. Its mission is to provide services which safeguard the public health and safety, to humanely house and care for animals in its charge, to ensure the welfare of the animals of the community, and to provide its citizens with information concerning responsible pet ownership. Woodford Co. Animal Control is NOT an adoption facility.
