Impounded Animals

Please note that every county in Kentucky has its own animal control agency. If you live outside of Woodford County, you will need to contact your county’s agency for animal control-related assistance. Also, law prohibits WCAC from accepting any stray animals from out of county.

We are NOT an adoption facility

It is the job of Woodford County Animal Control to get STRAYS back to THEIR owners. We investigate every stray animal we bring into our facility. We only hold strays for 5 days. If you have an animal that is unwanted and you wish to surrender it, please call the Woodford Humane Society at 859-873-5491.
